Supply Chain Professional Development (SCPD) Programme

Overview

The Supply Chain Professional Development (SCPD) Programme is a globally recognised e-learning pathway designed to help professionals in logistics, agriculture, commodities, and related sectors strengthen their operational and strategic supply-chain capabilities. As one of the first logistics e-learning programmes in the world, SCPD provides a flexible, convenient, and cost-effective way to upskill without disrupting full-time work commitments.

Eligible for SkillsFuture training subsidies (for Singaporeans, Permanent Residents, and SMEs), the SCPD Programme is ideal for professionals seeking to enhance their technical knowledge and management skills while earning an industry-endorsed qualification.


Programme Structure

The SCPD consists of two progressive qualification levels, each combining online modules with optional in-person workshops conducted in collaboration with the Cocoa Association of Asia (CAA) and its industry partners.


1. Professional Certificate (Modules SCPD 01-04 + Workshop)

Develops a strong foundation in supply-chain fundamentals and customer-oriented logistics.

  • Managing Resources – Principles of effective resource allocation and workforce planning.

  • Managing Transport & Logistics Environment – Understanding global logistics systems and performance optimisation.

  • Warehouse Management – Practical techniques for efficient storage, handling, and inventory control.

  • Customer Service & Quality – Delivering service excellence and maintaining quality standards throughout the supply chain.


2. Advanced Professional Certificate (Modules SCPD 05-08 + Workshop)

Builds strategic and digital leadership capabilities for end-to-end supply-chain management.

  • Supply Chain Management – Integrating sourcing, production, and distribution to drive competitive advantage.

  • IT and E-Commerce – Leveraging technology and e-commerce platforms for agile logistics solutions.

  • Service Operations Management – Managing complex service systems and performance analytics.

  • Business Logistics Management – Strategic planning, cost control, and continuous improvement in logistics networks.


Each module takes approximately two to three weeks to complete, allowing participants to progress at a manageable pace while applying concepts directly to their professional context.


Learning Experience

The SCPD combines interactive online learning with real-world case studies and facilitated discussions led by industry practitioners. The in-person workshops—hosted in partnership with the Cocoa Association of Asia—offer opportunities for networking, applied learning, and knowledge exchange between logistics and commodity professionals.


Participants who complete all modules and the workshop will be awarded the Professional Certificate or Advanced Professional Certificate in Supply Chain Management, issued by the programme’s accredited training provider.
